Joanna Roye
Talented Joanna Roye is known as Tigercub on Ravelry and hosts the “Made with Sticks” blog. She can be found on Facebook, and chrips away on Twitter (@madewithsticks) too. Here’s what she wanted to share with us:
-
I’m a former film and theatre student turned master of Philosophy. After graduating, I found a fascination with knitting. I took up the craft with dedication in 2009 and have been designing my own patterns since July of 2011. I love classically beautiful knits, and my personal tastes run towards lace, fair-isle, and cables. My next ambition is learning how to spin.
When I’m not knitting I like to garden, read, write creatively, cook elaborate food, enjoy wine, be a huge nerd, and hang around yarn shops.
My interests in the fiber world: knitting (and knit design), crochet, and someday spinning. Weaving might loom dangerously in the future. (I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist such a sweet pun!)
Classes I teach: I teach tutorials on how to execute my own patterns, usually on Wednesday nights at 6, but sometimes on Fridays in the afternoon. They have thus far involved lace techniques.
I hope to see you soon!
And we hope you see her too, especially since her Wednesday night classes are in frequent demand!
